Can I transfer my existing domain to SGB Web Design?
We do not require you to transfer your domain name registration for us to be your web host. You can simply change the nameservers to the ones provided in your welcome email.
However, if you would like us to request to be your registrar, SGB Web Design can become the registrar for .com, .net, .us, .info, .biz, .org, .me, and .mobi domains.
Please email assistance@sgb-webdesign.com with this request. We need authorization to charge your paypal account, your paypal email account, and your SGB Web Design account name.
Please also provide us with the domain name you wish to transfer and the contact details for the current registrar.
A few days after we make the request you will receive an email asking you to authorize the change.
A transfer can take up to a week. Unfortunately some of requests to the current registrars are denied and no reason is given.
Please ensure you have access to the e-mail address listed for the Administrative Contact for your domain.
**If your transfer request is denied, there is no fee charged to you for the transfer attempt.
